Making points

What a crazy day! All the honking and sirens were a blarring. I woke up this morning feeling like I hadn't slept. Crept downstairs to make my sweetheart his coffee and lunch meanwhile Jake and Wrigley were demanding breakfast. Poor ole Kramer was dancing at the backdoor with his hind legs crossed begging to get out for his morning potty break. The usual morning routine came to a crashing hault when I discovered we were out of cat food....this is most certainly a no no! By the glares I recieved from my two hungry boys I knew I had to get out that door and purchase food quick. They never miss a meal, and don't hold back the meowing when they want one. The pet store was added to the top of my list.

As I headed out of our driveway I stopped to let a stroller being pushed by a daddy. Of course I would wait for a stroller, but he sort of hesitated and then made his way across. His son looked to be about two. He was just poking his tongue out of his mouth with a grin on his face. I wondered if he was tasting the wind. Just then I took a sniff and could smell all the baking my neighbors were doing, definately challahs. I looked at the boy once more and thought maybe he could taste them? His father smiled and waved continuing to cross the driveway. What if you could taste challahs in the wind?

I continued on my trek to the pet store and was able to make my purchase. Crisis averted. Jake and Wrigley are full and happy. Thank-God I live on Touhy.
